About the role:

Are you an experienced accountant with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers? We’re hiring an Accountant to join a reputable company in Bulgaria. In this role, you’ll manage the company’s financial operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and Bulgarian regulations;
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly;
• Prepare and process payroll calculations, including tax and benefit deductions, to ensure timely and accurate payments;
• Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting to help maintain the company’s financial stability;
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis for management review;
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all payments and invoices are processed correctly;
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare documentation for annual audits;
• Advise on cost-reduction opportunities and financial improvements where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or financial management;
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel);
• Strong knowledge of Bulgarian financial regulations and tax requirements;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills;
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
